Visual Overload

Day 55 - July 18th

Much of day 55 was spent driving from our mountainside wild camping spot to the extreme sport capital of Norway – Voss.

As most of our time was spent in the car, I’ll add a few more photos of what we saw on the way and describe them below.

Norwegian countryside from Maxi.

The Captain driving past one of the many, many fjords.

Reflections on a Norwegian lake.
Laerdals Tunnel - The longest tunnel in the world at 24.5km. Quite cool at first, but a little bit boring after about 10km and you just want to get out.

Rest stop inside the 24.5km tunnel. You could actually get out and take photos, as well as overtake other cars if you wished. Why do they have such a problem with the Burnley Tunnel at home?

Another big mountain and some rocks in Norway. They've got lots of these.

Stop for lunch with some amazing scenery in the background.

Lukes Mullet getting out of control!

Crystal clear Norwegian water.

Claire getting lunch prepared. Good girl.

One of the hundred or so waterfalls we passed that day.....and with plenty more to come.

Taking a walk up to the Stalheimer Fossen/Falls

Good luck stack at Stalheimer.

Chilling out on Lake Vangsvatnet, Voss after a longs day drive.
About to tuck into a meal of Reindeer Strogonoff in Voss. Reindeer was actually quite a cheap meat at £7 for 400g and tasted amazing. There should be more eating of reindeer I say!
